Day 2 wasn’t all that great. I was manically busy - I didn’t go home between 8am and 11pm, and ended up coming home from clubbing early because I didn’t feel well.
I didn’t manage to get time to exercise and didn’t eat too healthily, which is a bit of a blow but it’s just a set back, I promise.I ate: a bacon sandwich on brown bread, a vegetable bake and some flapjack. I drank: two 550ml bottles of coke, 4 pints of “purple” (strongbow, cider, ribena), 2 pints of Carling and water.
I need to drink more water.

Day one photos: if you look at my photos from the very, very beginning of this blog, I’ve maintained a decent amount of progress, but these are the new “starting photos” for my latest attempt. (I’ll make a side-by-side comparison post in a sec)
I’ll mostly be building endurance in the next few weeks so progress is likely to be a very long term thing in demonstratable terms. -
Day 1
T-Minus 53 till Cycle.
I’ve decided to take a photo every day, because I’m vein like that.
Today is the first day of me getting fitter for my ride and I’ve basically decided to format this blog like this: 1) daily picture and food diary, 2) recording workouts as and when I do them. Hopefully this will help me keep track of what I’m doing in general with my body.Today I ate: grapes (unknown quantity) salad x 2 (lettuce, cucumber, pizza express house dressing) pasta salad x 1 (100g pasta, lettuce, cucumber, pizza express house dressing) fab x 1 and drank water and maybe 3 cups of Dr Pepper. I really need to cut down on that.
In terms of workout I did a “quick fitness challenge” (a minute jogging on the spot, a minute squats, a minute bicycle crunches, 45 seconds plank, a minute side bends, 25 seconds rest, a minute wall-sit) and am about to go on a “Week 3, Day 1” run of a 14 week Couch-to-10k programme. You’re obviously meant to start at week one but, frankly, I don’t have 14 weeks so I’m going to try and jump-start it.
How was your workout, guys?
EDIT: Did the run and it was surprisingly ok. Found it tougher towards the end and sweated a bit but was definitely manageable. Hopefully will improve throughout the weeks!

This is me at the end of the year.
My new years resolution, as I have already told you, is to be the fittest I’ve been in my life by the end of 2013.
It is not going well so far, but I have faith in myself.
This is a LONG TERM GOAL. I need LONG TERM SUPPORT. Will you help? :) -
Jesus. I just found this picture on my computer. This was me a year ago. I have since stopped working out. I need to start working out again. NOW. Thanks, old pictures for making me feel like poo today.

Complacent face pic because I’m really happy with progress.

Me and some of my school friends - the one to my right is probably one of my closest friends in the world.

Here’s a picture of me and my *ahem* best friend at prom :)

Girls!
Don’t wear makeup!
Or do,
It’s really none of my fucking business anyway!
- Teenage boy with handwritten sign
So recently my dash has had a lot of boys holding signs saying things like ‘you’re beautiful without makeup’ and ‘you don’t have to show off cleavage to impress boys’ and similar things and literally all of them have made me angry. These guys clearly think they’re doing women such a big favour by telling them they don’t have to wear makeup to look pretty - they’ve clearly never stopped to think maybe girls wear makeup because they want to, not because they want to impress you.
I was torn between this sign and another saying ‘Girls/Don’t take advice from teenage boys with handwritten signs/Or do/it’s your life!’ but the message is clear, I think.
